About pdf to word
Convert a PDF into an editable Word document so you can fix a typo, update a figure or reuse the wording. The tool reconstructs paragraphs, headings and bold/italic formatting into a .docx you can open in Word, Google Docs or LibreOffice.
Conversion runs locally in your browser — no upload and no email address required, unlike many converters. If you only need the raw text, the extract-text page gives you plain text instead.

Questions, answered
Q.Does it preserve the original layout?
It rebuilds paragraphs, headings and bold/italic formatting, with a page break between PDF pages. It can't reproduce exact layout such as columns, tables, absolute positioning or images — true pixel-perfect PDF→Word conversion isn't solvable in the browser.
Q.Are my files uploaded to a server?
No. Every operation runs entirely in your browser using JavaScript, so your files never leave your device. Open your browser's Network tab and watch — nothing is sent or stored.
Q.Is it free? Do I need an account or to install anything?
It's completely free with no sign-up, no email and nothing to install. There are no daily limits and no watermarks on your output.
Q.Does it work on Mac, Windows, Chromebook and phones?
Yes. It runs in any modern browser — Chrome, Edge, Firefox or Safari — on Windows, macOS, Linux, Chromebook, iPhone and Android. There is nothing to download.
